Laundry Baskets, Plastic Bins, and Boggie Boards!!!!!
A couple of days ago it snowed and was well packed in with a layer of ice on top. We decided we wanted to go sleding but here is the problem….we don’t have a sled. So we went through the house looking for anything that can be used as a sled. We found that the laundry baskets and plastic bins work really good. But boogie boards were good at first but then you would be going down the hill and the board would stop and you would keep sliding down the hill! Other things that worked was the lids to the plastic bins. We had a large long one that could fit two people, that was the fun one!!! In fact me and my dad almost hit a tree because we were flying and couldn’t control the lid! But we are still alive!! So next time you want to go sleding and don’t have a sled just look around your house, I am sure you can find something to use as a sled! ![]()
Walking on Water…….
Hey all guess what?!?!? I walked on water!!!!! Well actually I walked on a frozen lake. We have a lake in our back yard and it had frozen over, about a layer of ice 6 inches thick, and we went walking and sliding on it! It was so much fun! I couldn’t believe that we could just walk right on the lake. Although if you fell it really hurt!
Sarah (who is visiting) even brought her ice skates and was skating on the ice. Well I am off to right more Captain Bronze adventures.
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!
That’s right Christmas is right around the corner!!! I can hardly keep from screaming! I can’t explain the feeling I feel at like 3 in the morning on Christmas wishing I could wake my parents at that moment! I am like a little kid!! But as we know that is not what Christmas is all about. I have to say one of my favorite things to do during Christmas is to read about Jesus’ birth in Luke with the entire family. Just being able to spend time with the family is great. When we lived in Ca. we went to a bunch of different houses to spend Christmas and it wans’t fun at all. Then when we moved to Pa. it was nice because it was just us and no one else. It was a time to get away from the busy schedules and just spend time as a family and help cook dinner. And although last year was crazy because of us moving up here it was still nice to be together. So this Christmas I encourage you to spend time with your family and think about how much they love you! And think about how much God loves you sending his only Son to earth to die for us! This Christmas celebrate Christ’s birth!
Luke 2:8-14
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. And angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find the baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying. “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”
