All by the end of Fall!

July 12th, 2007 | Category: School

AHHHHHH!!!!!! Ok for my past High school years I have had it easier than I will this year. I have a ton of stuff I didn’t think of, like College applications. While studying for the SAT, I came across a “Plan of Action” for seniors (for High School not old peeps) and the senior year of High School. They made the suggestion of finding 4 or 5 colleges you would be interested in going to and apply for them in the fall. So guess what I have been doing for the past 3 or so days…..looking at colleges. And let me tell you THEY ARE FREAKIN EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!! I was looking at them and nearly had a heart attack at the price for just tuition, one of the cheaper colleges was about $24,500 just for tuition. No books, no dorm, no class, nothing, just tuition! Yikes! Apparently to get into college you need this crazy thing called MONEY, which I don’t have!

So I was thinking of getting a summer job this past summer, as you can tell that didn’t happen, but I was unable because of everything going on and me having to take the SAT prep course and my parents didn’t want to add more on. Then I thought maybe a job over the school year, and that definitely is not going to happen! My school day will probably end around 6 p.m. (if I am lucky!). And I have reports, current events, and book reports just about every month. Again Yikes!

Also this year cause I am taking Physical Education I am to choose a sport or something like that (walking, running, swimming, soccer, volleyball, etc.) and then everyday (Mon-Thrus) I am to “train” myself to be able to meet the Skills Test (Fri). So for running by the end of the week I need to run a mile in 14 min, then each week the time gets less or the miles get longer. Now all you peeps in shape are thinking, “Oh that is nothing. Piece of cake.” Right?!?! Not so much for me. I was never really a “in-shape” kinda girl. Well I was till we started homeschooling and then I really didn’t do P.E. except for riding my bike or swimming, normal stuff. So it is definitely going to be a challenge for me. But with me dieting and then this P.E. class I will be in great shape!!! Oh yeah baby! :)

Hey, if any of you are interested to check out the “Plan of Action” thingie click here They also have a “Plan of Action” for juniors in High School. I really suggest it so you are well prepared for the upcoming years. They have great tips for lots of things, help with the SAT, and helps you find colleges. So check it out, explore it!

Hey also if you have any tips for me about the running and how not to kill my body, please share *sniff* please!

Happy, Happy Birthday from all of us to you!!!!!!!!!

June 10th, 2007 | Category: Miscellaneous,School

Hey all! I just celebrated my 17th birthday not to long ago and now I am beginning to feel old! When I turned 16I was like “Yeah baby! Watch out world I am ready to drive!!!”. But know I realize “Wow, I only got one more year till I go to college!”. I need to start thinking of what I am going to do, where I am going to go, and the biggest question-How the heck am I going to pay for it??!!!?. This last year of school (although it is cool to be a Senior!) will be the hardest year of my life! I am taking Physics, Advanced Mathematic, Economics, Computer Applications, Keyboarding, Life Managment (Bible course to help you live a good Christain life), Revelation (Bible course), Speech, Physical Education (in the past years we had no proof that I did it so I have to take it this year), and English 12. That will be 10 subjects! Oh yeah, and I am taking the SATs this fall! That will be great!!! So over the summer I will be taking a SAT prep course and Spelling (because I have to be the worst speller in history!). Anyway I got a lot ahead of me I wasn’t quite prepared for and can only hope I make it out with my sanity! ;)
