Imporv Everywhere!
Okay so I stumbled across this last night while exploring the internet. It’s a site called Improv Everywhere and it follows a group of people who do just crazy, funny improvs! I watched a ton of the videos last night and was laughing not only at what the group was doing but also at the reactions of the people around them.
Examples of their improvs include:
- Where’s Rob? (one of the members gets “lost” at a knicks game and the whole section at the game is trying to get his attention)
- Cell phone symphony (was able to get a ton of cell phones to go off at the same time in a bookstore)
- Frozen Grand Central Station (had a ton of people all freeze at the same time and stay frozen for I think 5 minutes)
This was sooo cool! I definetly recommend checking it out…it made me laugh!
Miss California Response to Gay Marriage Question
So for the last couple of days the news has been reporting the reactions to Miss California’s answer to the question about gay marriage. During the competition celebrity blogger and judge of the contest, Perez Hilton, asked Miss California whether or not the rest of America should legalize gay marriage. Her answer was,”In my country, and in my family, I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman.” Perez Hilton asked this because one is he gay and it is a debate that has been in and out of the news for years. Because of the response that Miss California gave Perez Hilton became very angry and blogged about it later calling Miss America a few nasty words.
I just wanted to post this to say in response to Miss California that I think it is wonderful that she believes in a marriage between a man and a woman and the way that God had intended it to be! And not only have that belief but to speak her opinion on national televison! Perez Hilton said that her response is why she did not win Miss America, but even then she still defends her answer saying:
“I was ready for my question, and when I heard it from (Perez), I knew at that moment after I’d answered the question, I knew that I was not going to win because of my answer,” she said. “Because I had spoken from my heart, for my beliefs and for my God. … It’s not about being politically correct, for me, it’s about being biblically correct.”
This is an amazing response! All I can say is that this is the kind of person that people should be looking up too, she spoke her mind and her belief! And I am definetly supporting her response and her courage to stand behind her belief!

4 commentsThis week so far…
So it has been a while since I have blogged, but I have been quite busy! With school and other activities it has been kinda of crazy this month. But this week I am on my Spring Break! YAY! I love the break but I am going to hate having to go back to school next week.
Anyway my family had a whole bunch of activities going on this week so I was lucky enough to be on break to join them.
First up is Monday. Monday was not very exciting because it was grading period for my brother and sister. So that means helping my mom put together all of their work, making sure that it is graded, and putting the grades into the progress report. After that is all done then we copy the work as a back-up and then send it in (we haven’t done that yet).
Next we have Tuesday. For Tuesday we went to a Culinary Museum in Providence with a bunch of other homeschoolers. That was interesting and I definitely had fun. After that we went and got some lunch at the Cheesecake Factory in the Providence Place Mall. The food there is amazing!!! I had a Double B.B.Q. Bacon Cheesburger with fries, and I only ate half of that burger!
The last one we have is Wednesday. Yesterday we went bowling with other homeschoolers (this time homeschoolers from our church). Now this wasn’t the normal bowling but candlepin bowling with the smaller bowl and pins. I had so much fun going bowling! I always loved going bowling!
So that is this week so far but we still have the rest of today and Friday. On Friday we have a homeschool gathering between 2-4 pm. I normaly go to every Friday (although I am usually late because my last class ends at 2:50ish pm). In the evening on Friday me, my sister, and my mom are going to a purity event at our church. So that is it for now…
No commentsDoggie Exercise
So we just took our dog, Shadow, to the vet and the vet told us that she had gained 12 lbs. since her last visit. To make sure that Shadow lives a long, happy life without diabetes we are supposed to get her to exercise. The vet suggested putting Shadow on the treadmill during the winter months, so….

Banana Smoothie
I have really been craving an Orange Julius, but I think the closest one is about 40 minutes away, and I am not driving 40 min. just to get a smoothie. So instead I Googled for “Orange Julius Smoothie Recipe,” but I didn’t find one that I really liked or I didn’t have all of the ingredients. I decided to take a couple of the recipes and combine them to make my own. And I came up with this recipe:
Banana Smoothie Recipe:
- Two bananas
- 6 oz. of Vanilla Yogurt
- 3/4 cup of either orange juice or apple juice (the first time I used orange juice, the second time I used apple juice)
- About a cup and a half of crushed ice.
Place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. This probably makes around 26 oz., this is an estimation because I am not sure exactly how much it made. Enjoy!! ![]()

New Year’s Eve Activites
So most people will have an all-nighter, party, or something of that sort to bring in the new year, but I spent the night watching a Disney Channel marathon that included:
- Hannah Montana
- Wizards of Waverly Place
- Suite Life on Deck
- Phineas and Ferb
Not that I don’t mind watching Disney Channel but after about three hours it gets kinda old and tiring. And I think that I have seen every Hannah Montana and Suite Life episodes! But my New Year’s was pretty good, spent time with the family and at 11:59 pm watched the ball drop in Times Square on t.v. So I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope you had a great time!!
Dishwasher Adventure
So probably sometime this year, maybe late last year, while our dishwasher was running a plastic lid fell to the bottom of it and melted a hole in the bottom of the dishwasher. At first it didn’t seem that it actually had done any damage and that it hadn’t melted all the way through.

Inside the dishwasher

Bottom of the dishwasher
Well on Christmas Eve we went downstairs and found out that it was leaking through to our basement. At first we thought the leak was from the storms that came through the past couple of weeks. So we had to order a new dishwasher and it was delivered today! Yeah, no more washing dishes by hand!
Tis’ the Season for Christmas Pictures
So last year was the first year we sent out a family picture with our Christmas newsletter thingie and it turned out pretty good. We had found a Christmas card kit, which is a piece of Christmas themed paper that you write or type your letter on. Then when you fold it in half it becomes a card with a space on the front for a picture and your letter is on the inside. Pretty cool! So anyway we decided to do it again this year, but first we needed a family picture. That was an interesting and slightly stressful situation because we tried at first to included both our dog, Shadow, and our cat, Sabbath. Well that didn’t work because Sabbath didn’t want to be held and he would not sit still long enough for the photo to be taken. And for some reason when we take a photo of Shadow she looks like a demon dog and we have to edit that before we can print the photos. So after several tries in two different rooms, we decided not to have the pets and to take it in the front living room because it had better lighting. So after probably almost two hours of getting ready and actually taking the photos we came up with this:

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!
Happy, Happy Birthday from all of us to you!!!!!!!!!
Hey all! I just celebrated my 17th birthday not to long ago and now I am beginning to feel old! When I turned 16I was like “Yeah baby! Watch out world I am ready to drive!!!”. But know I realize “Wow, I only got one more year till I go to college!”. I need to start thinking of what I am going to do, where I am going to go, and the biggest question-How the heck am I going to pay for it??!!!?. This last year of school (although it is cool to be a Senior!) will be the hardest year of my life! I am taking Physics, Advanced Mathematic, Economics, Computer Applications, Keyboarding, Life Managment (Bible course to help you live a good Christain life), Revelation (Bible course), Speech, Physical Education (in the past years we had no proof that I did it so I have to take it this year), and English 12. That will be 10 subjects! Oh yeah, and I am taking the SATs this fall! That will be great!!! So over the summer I will be taking a SAT prep course and Spelling (because I have to be the worst speller in history!). Anyway I got a lot ahead of me I wasn’t quite prepared for and can only hope I make it out with my sanity!
Study the Driver’s Manual and then…
Hey all! My latest adventure….studying the Mass. Driving Manual to get my learner’s permit!!! Yeah me! There is so much stuff I need to read and understand before taking the test to get the permit. There is a total of 6 chapters, which doesn’t seem too bad, but it is a total of 200 pages!! That is a lot of material to go through! The interesting thing is the test only contains 20 questions?!!?!!?! 200 pages for 20 questions? hmmmmm……go figure that one out!
Well anyway it is off to studying some more! Wish me luck!
